I'm glad my father, who voted for Nixon three times, didn't live to see what his party has become: fascistic, mendacious, greedy, selfish, traitorous.
Those Republican elected officials in Washington don't deserve the likes of Officer Goodman, but he protected them out of honor and duty nonetheless. And frankly he is the exact opposite of them: democratic with a small 'd', honest, generous, selfless, a true patriot.
