"The Shifting Light" now on Apple's iBooks...

After a long wait, The Shifting Light: A selection of sixteen stories taken from The Transpersonal Papers: 1861-2010; Flame Spirals; Bozo In Love; Hoop Dancing; and Dementia Blues is now available on Apple's iBooks. It's also available on Barnes & Nobles Nook and on Amazon's Kindle.

And best of all, it's only $2.99. I'm very happy with this sampler and it includes an introduction written by mythic fiction author Charles de Lint. Thank you, Charles.

P.S. Apologies to those who don't have digital access. The Shifting LIght isn't yet available as an analog book book, but hopefully someday.

Y'all know how much I love the Tehachapi Loop. And I've done hoop dances all over, don't you know. About time I did a hoop dance near a very large man-made hoop.

And again, I'm attempting to make something new and old at the same time, echoing back to William Morris and the Arts & Crafts Movement yet building of the SFX of current modern aesthetics.

Frankly, I didn't know you could sell photography on Etsy. I was wrong. Happy to be wrong.

Book sales are OK (I say with a slight wince), but art sales have been down the last year or so. We are in The Great Recession, don't you know. But I completely understand.

It's easier, in this economy, to buy a $12 CD or $10 eBook or a $20 hardback book, than it is to buy a $100 to $200 print, or a large, more expensive, framed piece. That is, if you are part of the 99%, or the 90%, or the lower 50%. (I'm in the lower 28%. I looked it up.)

Good news: The new CD will be shipped next week. More on that later. I may have a CD release party but I have a very small studio. But I'm thinking about it. Maybe in the parking lot, some night, during the Festival OF Books in March.

Any ideas? I'm open.

Fun Facts: This photograph was taken around 4:30 this morning. That's about as fast of a production turnaround as you'll ever get out of me.

And I wasn't in much danger shooting this. A little, but not much. I tend to be careful and heights don't scare me.

Which of the below three images would you like to see as the cover for my next album "Deaths & Injuries".

To help, the album's music has been coined, 'Organica', organic electronica, sonic prayers for those who have died and who have been injured.

Also, the instruments used in this album were an E-MU synthesizer, a spinet and a baby grand piano, and a harmonium.

I bought myself a very big 57th birthday present: Two days in Wavelab Studios, having Craig Schumacher and his crew, remix and mastered my new album "Less Than A Dozen Prayers." Eight sonic prayers are already done. We may even record a couple new prayers, next week, as well.
