[It was a glorious morning in Atlanta in the Spring of 2006. I was taking a break from the Mythic Journeys Conference, strollin' easy down Peachtree, with a cup of hot coffee in one hand and a camera in the other. Shot these union picketers in front of this skyscraper with my 50-year-old Kodak Brownie. The image sat in my to-do file for years. Now, with Obama just days away from accepting his party's nomination, it seems appropriate to complete it and load it on my blog.
My father once said that if management is doing its job, unions are not necessary. His son says management rarely thinks of the worker these days, and unions are more needed than ever.
Pretty picture, though, no matter what your politics.]
